FAQQ: Who is taking part? A: Invitations are being sent to manufacturers and designers, and also to individuals and key publications around the world. If you know someone who should be a member - suggest they sign up. Only designers with commercial collections or products will be given full membership, and product showcases though. Q: If it is free, how do you earn your money? A: At present the site is built and maintained free of charge by globefox. We are seeking sponsorship and grants to help with further promoting the site and to fund future services. We may also take advertising from suitable green/ethical companies too. We believe that weallreuse is an easy to use site, and that designers will add and edit their own content. This again keeps the cost down. Q: We are designers. We can put text about our products on the website for free, right? Is it also possible to change the content of this text, as soon as we have other news?" A: The answer to this is yes and yes! It's exactly what the site is for. We hope you find this easy, but fi not, we have already written helpful stage by stage guides to using the site - you'll see them when you're registered and signed in. Q: Is this only a website or also a published magazine? A: This is only a website - though a magazine or book would be great one day. Q: When did you start and how many visitors/ readers do you have? A: We started at the end of February 2007, and are still in the process of inviting designers. The readership is small but growing. Q: Where are you situated? A: We are based in London, but are inviting designers worldwide. We still can't believe that there is no other site out there that specifically showcases reuse! The aim is to make this site a comprehensive picture of reuse projects world wide, and to inspire and encourage more of them. |
