TRAID: Funding International Development Projects

2009 marks TRAID’s tenth birthday – a landmark year for the charity which raises funds to fight global poverty through its clothes reuse and environmental activities in the UK. TRAID is committing half a million pounds to fund international development projects and invites UK organisations and their associated international partners to apply for funding.

TRAID will give preference to proposals demonstrating one or more of the following:

Projects combating the negative impacts of the textile industry on people and the environment
Projects to improve the rights, health and incomes of people especially those working in the chain of textile supply and production including children and home workers
Projects which enable communities to transform and improve their environment sustainably to bring about improvements in lives and livelihoods
How to apply

Interested organisations should submit a Concept Note, no longer than one page of A4, stating:-

Project aim
Project location
Beneficiaries
Approximate amount requested
Full contact details

Deadline for receipt of Concept Notes is Tuesday 23 June at 5pm. TRAID will acknowledge receipt of Concept Notes by Thursday 25 June.
