Hello! If you can see this page you are a registered 'reuser' at we all reuse. You can create, edit and delete your own content whenever you want - even control who sees it..

Other users may post stories or forum topics, however these will be moderated by we all reuse.

we all reuse is hosted and developed by globeFOX, and has been built using Drupal. The system has many advanced features and has been specially configured for us. Please if you don't understand the settings, don't change them!

Please note that at present we all reuse is built and maintained on a voluntary basis - please be patient if there are still a few minor bugs an glitches while we settle in..

Here's how to add the main content types we use on this site. You can ways edit your content where it appears so long as you are logged in.

Create a Story

Stories are usually used for the front page stories, news and the skillshares sections of weallreuse

1. Login
2. Click on "create content"
3. Click on "story"
4. Enter a relevant title under "Title:" e.g. "New reused product lines" for the Front page or "How to wash wool" for the Skillshare page.
5. Choose a subject from the drop down subject menu - this will ensure the story appears on the correct page and is classified properly.
6.Topic? You can also add two or three keywords here to help users and search engines find content.
7. Enter your story text under Body:
8. "Abstract" - add a short description of your work if you like, this will not be displayed on the site, but will be used for RSS.
9. Choose from existing images or upload and name a new image for the story using the attached image options.
10.If you want this story to be on the front page on your site, check Promoted to front page, otherwise, uncheck it.
11. Check that the author name is either your username or the that of the designer who's story you are editing
12. Click on "Preview"
13. Once you're ready click on "Submit" and you're done!
14. Your story should appear on the site immediately. Please check it for errors and spelling.

Any problems? Look at recent posts and check all the settings again, or contact us.

Create a Blog

Blogs are best used for short news items and announcements.

1. Login
2. Click on "create content"
3. Click on "blog entry"
4. Enter a relevant title under "Title"
5. Choose a subject from the drop down subject menu - this will ensure the blog appears on the correct page and is classified properly.
6.Topic? You can also add two or three keywords here to help users and search engines find content.
7. Enter your blog text under Body:
8. "Abstract" - add a short description of your work if you like, this will not be displayed on the site, but will be used for RSS.
11. Check that the author name is either your username or the that of the designer who's blog you are editing

Add an Event

This may be a trade show, a launch party or other happening that will be of interest to reusers.

1. Login
2. Click on "create content"
3. Click on "event"
4. Enter the start and end dates
5. Enter the event title under "Title"
7. Enter your event text under "Body". Please include the venue, times, access criteria (trade, public, private event) and any entry fees. A web link or contact for the organiser is also a very good idea.
8.If you want this story to be on the front page on your site, check Promoted to front page, otherwise, uncheck it. All events and stories may be viewed using the calendar.
9. Click on "Preview"
10. Once you're ready click on "Submit" and you're done!
11. Your event should appear on the site immediately. Please check it for errors and spelling.

Any problems? Look at recent posts and check all the settings again, or contact us.

Create a showcase (admins only)

1. Login
2. Click on "Administer"
3. Click on "categories"
4. Select "add terms"
5. Add your project company or trading name under "add terms"
6. Choose the parent term - in this case, "root".
7. leave "Description" and "synonyms" blank.
8. Once you're ready click on "Submit"
11. Your showcase should appear on the site immediately. Please don't leave it empty - add images ASAP.

Please check it for errors and spelling.

Any problems? Look at other categories and check all the settings again, or contact us.

Add images to the showcase and profile pages.

1. Login
2. Click on "create content"
3. Click on "image"
5. Enter the product name in "Title". Please add your company or project name to the beginning of this.
6. Browse to the item image. Please see our submission guide below
7. Choose the parent album - this will be the project, company or trading name you added earlier.
9. Enter information about the product or image under "Description". Please describe how the item incorporates reuse.
10 If you have a link to purchase this item online, or a general Website or Stockist list please enter the name of the link e.g. "seraglia online store" URL here.
11. Images are normally displayed in the order in which they are added. You can change this by changing the values in the weight option. Heavier items 'sink' down to the bottom
12. Check that the author name is either your username or the that of the designer who's gallery or profile you are editing.
13. If you want this item to always display first and to be the cover of the showcase, use the "Sticky at top of lists" option in the publishing settings.
14. Click on "Preview"
15. Once you're ready click on "Submit" , check the "Publishing options" to ensure the item is published and you're done!
16. Your album should appear on the site immediately. Please check it for errors and spelling.

Add a link to the resources section

1. Login
2. Click on "create content"
3. Click on "link"
4. Enter the name of the site or link under "Title"
5. Enter the full web address including http:// etc under "Link URL"
6. Enter a brief description of the site or resource
7. Choose 'resources' from the drop down subject menu - this will ensure the story appears on the resources page and is classified properly.

9. "Abstract" - add a short description of your work if you like, this will not be displayed on the site, but will be used for RSS.
10. Please do not check Promoted to front page, if it's checked, uncheck it.
11. Click on "Preview"
12. Once you're ready click on "Submit" and you're done!
13. Your link will appear on the site once it has been moderated.

Submission guide

Stories- minimum number of words 25. We love to hear your news and opinions. Please remember to not confuse the two. Be clear what is fact, and what is your take on a story. we all reuse reserves the right to sub-edit content before and after publication. Expletive and abusive terms are not permitted, and will be changed. Persistent offenders will be demoted.

Blogs- minimum number of words 25. Keep it short and snappy!
Events- Please include the venue, times, access criteria (trade, public, private event) and any entry fees. A web link or contact for the organiser is also a very good idea.

Images- Upload images up to 640x480. The small gallery display will be created automatically.

Video- 320x240 resolution clip, plus still image for gallery display

Your content and its © remains your own at all times. Please do not upload anyone else's text, images or video without their permission, unless it is already publicly available and you credit the source.

Expert Tip

If you would like your content item to only seen by other designers, tick 'reuser'.
